Another inspiring morning with my incredible WATT sisters!
After some much-needed catching up, we kicked off our meeting with exciting updates—including our upcoming book club discussion on The Women by Kristin Hannah next month. Can’t wait!
Juliet Peters led with a powerful presentation close to my heart, highlighting what she wishes business owners knew before engaging legal services—especially at the contract stage, and often without the guidance of experienced Business Brokers and Advisors like us 😉
Kay McDonald then shared the fascinating origin story of Charity Charms and her inspiring entrepreneurial journey.
Next, we were energized with Earth Day trivia (complete with prizes for correct answers!). Did you know Earth Day was first celebrated on April 22, 1970, with 20 million people—10% of the U.S. population at the time—participating? Amazing! Don’t miss the 4th annual Earth Day – The Future of Sustainability on April 22!
To wrap things up, Laura Piel gave us a thought-provoking look at the declining U.S. fertility rate (below the 2.1 replacement rate since 1971), its impact on the labor force, and which industries are currently offering the highest wages.
Grateful for mornings like these—full of connection, learning, and inspiration!
